Manchester United's fan favorite Ander Herrera claims he will do everything he can to help the club keep Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea away from Real Madrid's clutches. The Los Blancos are said to re-kindle their approach for De Gea with United said to be preparing to shield their number one goalkeeper.

Jose Mourinho does not want to sell any of his players to Real Madrid after the Alvaro Morata transfer fiasco but the Portuguese manager knows that the Spanish giants will be doing their best to lure De Gea to Madrid.

Manchester United recently announced a four year extension for back-up goalkeeper Sergio Romero whereas Mourinho has already prepared for contingency in the form of Kasper Schmeichel should De Gea indeed move to Real Madrid.

According to Express, the Manchester United boss is not ready to easily hand over one of the best goalkeepers in world football to Madrid and will be demanding either Toni Kroos or Raphael Varane as part of the deal.

Manchester United's midfield enforcer Ander Herrera was recently asked about De Gea's status at the club to which he said, "He's happy. I know this is going to sound repetitive because I always say the same by David is one of the few keepers who wins you points. I’m going to do everything I can to make sure he stays.”

Herrera, who himself has been linked with a move to Barcelona is on the cusp of getting a new deal at Manchester United and confirmed that he is indeed a Red Devil as he said, "I feel valued and focused here.”

Both the Spaniards are currently part of Manchester United's pre-season tour to the United States and are training ahead of their friendly match against Real Salt Lake tomorrow.

The match will be telecast in India on 18th July at 7:30am on Ten 1 HD and Ten 2.
