Current Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery could be in line to become the next manager of Serie A side claims Corrierdellosport with the Spaniard set to leave French giants after just one year in charge of them.
According to reports, the 45-year-old has agreed to join the Italian side on a three-year deal at the end of the summer, where he will reunite with former Sevilla sporting director Monchi, who is set to be officially appointed as their new Director of Sport in time for next season.
The two of them enjoyed a very good working relationship during their time at Sevilla, where they enjoyed vast amount of success at the club, winning three consecutive Europa League trophies while also finishing runners-up in the 2015-16 Copa del Rey.
If Emery is to make the move, he would replace current incumbent Luciano Spalletti who had his problems with the local media while also claiming that he would not sign a contract extension with the club if he fails to win a trophy this season.
Roma are currently placed second in the Serie A with 72 points from 32 games, eight behind leaders Juventus and have been knocked out of the Coppa Italia and the Europa League.
