I-League giants East Bengal and Bengaluru FC have both made transfer moves ahead of the February 15 transfer deadline as they work to improve and finalise their squads for the rest of the season.
The Red and Gold brigade let go of Kyrgyzstan striker Ildar Almirov, who didn't impress coach Trevor Morgan in the first five matches of the season.
To replace Almirov, the club have finalised an agreement with Australian striker Christopher Payne, with their hope that he will be available before their derby with Mohun Bagan on the 12th of February.
Bengaluru FC loan Roby Norales to Ozone FC:
The defending I-League champions have loaned their recent signing Roby Norales to city rivals Ozone FC, who play in the 2nd division.
The Honduran striker couldn't impress coach Albert Roca, despite scoring a goal against Chennai City FC and winning a penalty against Churchill Brothers.
Ozone FC were in need of a striker after their main forward Cornell Glen was ruled out for the season due to injury. They were able to successfully get Norales in on loan ahead of the 2nd February loan deadline for 2nd division clubs.
Bengaluru have till the 15th of February to register their fourth foreigner for the season.
