John Terry to Leave Chelsea? All That and More in Our Top 5 Transfer Rumours of the Day

The January transfer window has been a disappointing one so far with not a lot of business being done as clubs are veering towards their cautious side so far. However, with the window open there are a number of rumours and news flying around. Let's take a look at some of them in our Transfer section.

5. Michail Antonio

Premier League leaders Chelsea are set to make a shock bid for West Ham United's Michail Antonio according to The Mirror  .

Antonio who signed from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2015 for a £7m fee has been one of the few players to star for West Ham in what has been a dismal season. His performances earned him an improved contract which ties him to the club till 2020.

Antonio Conte reportedly see's him as the perfect man to play at right-back in his 3-5-2 system, but the player would not come cheap with the Hammers set to quote £30m for the 26-year-old.

4. Christian Benteke

Crystal Palace's new manager Sam Allardyce  is considering selling star striker Christian Benteke to raise cash says The Mirror .

Benteke who moved from Liverpool in a club record  £30m move last summer has gone five games without scoring, with his work rate coming in from criticism from fans and experts.

A number of Chinese clubs are interested in signing Benteke, but the club have not received a solid offer as yet.

3. Fernando Llorente

French club Paris Saint-Germain are set to hijack Chelsea's move for Spanish striker Fernando Llorente according to L'Equipe .

The Ligue 1 champions are apparently looking for a back-up striker for Edison Cavani and have identified the Swansea star as the perfect fit.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte had earlier in the week expressed in interest in securing the services of the striker, who has scored six goals in 17 appearances for the Swans this season.

2. Lucas Moura

Premier League giants Arsenal have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a move for winger Lucas Moura says Tuttomercatoweb .

The daily claims that coach Arsene Wenger is a admirer of the Brazilian and has greenlighted a move for the winger who has scored six goals and registered two assists for the French champions this season.

1. John Terry

John Terry did not have the best of times against Peterborough in the FA Cup last weekend, earning a red card for a clumsy challenge and it seems Antonio Conte is keen to ship out the legend on loan.

The Mirror reports that Bournemouth are interested in snapping up the defender for the rest of the season, a move which will certainly see Terry's 22-year sojourn with the Blues come to an end.
