Barnsley took a rather unusual approach to announcing their starting XI for the match against Newcastle United.
The club's official twitter account went down the cryptic route with their crossword team sheet, leaving fans having to fill in the gaps to discover who would be featuring for their side in the Championship match.
The crossword mock even included the typical 'across and down' clue format, in a commendable attempt by Barnsley to lighten up the sometimes mundane process of announcing the starting XI.
Unfortunately, it may have confused the players, as many of them looked like they were still trying to decipher who was playing where in their 2-0 defeat at home to the Magpies.
Dwight Gayle scored twice to take his goal tally to eleven in the Championship and cement himself as the top scorer in the league. Newcastle sit top of the table after Norwich threw away a 2-0 lead at Fulham to draw, dropping two vital points.
Meanwhile, Barnsley are 14th in the division after failing to crack the clues to breaking down a resolute and organised Newcastle back line.
